Our approach
We aim to improve alignment with recognised web accessibility good practice, including relevant principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. This is an ongoing objective and is not a claim of formal WCAG certification or full compliance.
Accessibility features
The current website has been designed and implemented with the following measures:
- Keyboard-operable navigation, links, buttons and form controls.
- Visible focus indicators for interactive elements.
- Semantic page structure and ordered heading levels.
- Explicit form labels, required-field validation and announced submission feedback.
- Accessible names for links, buttons and navigation controls.
- Responsive layouts and mobile-friendly controls.
- Reduced-motion support for users who request it in their device or browser settings.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and hidden text for decorative imagery where implemented.
- Colour combinations selected to provide reasonable contrast and readable typography.
Known limitations and improvement
Content, browser behaviour and third-party services can affect accessibility. We continue to review the site and address identified barriers where reasonably practicable. External websites linked from NMPW are controlled by their respective providers.
Accessibility feedback
If you have difficulty accessing information, using a form, navigating by keyboard, using a screen reader, or encounter another accessibility barrier, please report it through the official NMPW contact and enquiry page. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, the problem encountered, and your browser or assistive technology where you are comfortable doing so.
We will review accessibility feedback and aim to provide the information in a reasonable alternative format where practicable.
